Julia Wendel, a young woman claiming to be Madeleine McCann, the girl who disappeared in 2007 while on holiday with her family in Portugal, has submitted DNA samples for forensic evidence. His private investigator, Dr. Fia Johansson, claims that Wendel was a victim of sex trafficking and is not the biological daughter of his Polish parents.
Wendel caught the public eye when she opened an Instagram account in February claiming to be Madeleine McCann. His suspicions are based on the physical resemblance and on details about his childhood that his parents had told him. However, Polish police have ruled out the possibility that Wendel is McCann.
In addition, it has been pointed out that Wendel bears a strong resemblance to Livia Schepp, a girl who disappeared in 2011 along with her twin sister Alessia. The Schepp sisters were presumed dead after their father committed suicide and claimed in a letter that the girls were also dead, though their bodies were never found.
After receiving death threats for his claims, Wendel closed his Instagram account and traveled to the United States with Johansson. There he submitted his DNA samples for forensic examination. These analyzes may shed more light on Wendel’s true identity and confirm or rule out his connection to Madeleine McCann or Livia Schepp.
